Rhett Lasserre leads the 4-Horn Investments team with over 20 years of industry experience and 10 years of leadership experience. He has a passion for startup rental businesses and is a founding partner of National Pump & Compressor as well as National Fittings & Hose. In 2016, Rhett and his partners founded 4-Horn Investments, a private investment firm that specializes in the equipment rental industry. Shortly after establishing 4-Horn Investments, Rhett led the formation of National Tank & Equipment and National Flare & Equipment.
Rhett graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McNeese State University in 1996. In 1997, he went to work for Service Pump & Compressor and worked there until 2007, where he worked his way up to Regional Manager. Rhett then served as the Vice President – Gulf Coast for National Pump & Compressor from 2007 until it was sold to United Rentals in 2014 where he served as Regional Product Development Manager – Fluid Solutions until 2015.
Rhett enjoys nurturing and coaching young talent as he’s worked his way from Sales Rep to leading the strategic direction of several successful companies. He likes to spend his free time with family while hunting, fishing and traveling.
MICHAEL NIX
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Mike brings hard work and over 15 years of revenue-producing sales experience to 4-Horn Investments. As a high-level college athlete, he found the competitive aspect of sales to be the perfect blend of his talents. He joined National Pump & Compressor in 2007, and quickly worked his way from Outside Sales Rep to VP of Oilfield Stores where he was responsible for sales of $120M per year. He became Executive Vice President of Sales for 4-Horn in 2016 after working for United Rentals.
- Started in 2003 with Service Pump & Compressor as a Rental Coordinator, quickly promoted to Branch Manager
- Worked as an Outside Sales Rep for Red River Pump from 2006 – 2007
- Joined National Pump & Compressor in 2007 as Outside Sales before becoming Regional Manager then VP of Oilfield Stores
- After the sale of National Pump & Compressor, Mike joined United Rentals from 2014-2016 until 4-Horn Investments was founded in 2016
- Being an avid outdoorsman he loves travel, baseball, coaching, being on the lake and hunting
- Works closely with co-workers to make business decisions quickly and effectively to drive revenue and ensure customers have the equipment they need
JASON JUDSON
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Jason brings extensive experience in leading corporate governance, financial planning, and in developing key metrics, reporting and variance analysis to the 4-Horn Investments management team. Before joining 4-Horn in 2015, Jason held various positions of increasing responsibility for BG Group’s L48 division, ultimately fulfilling the Controller role for them. He also served as a manager for Ernst & Young, where he focused on the energy market. He obtained his CPA shortly after starting his career there. Jason received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from Texas State University.
